ADVENTURES OF DON QUIXOTE FROM EL RETABLO WINS THE AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN AT THE ALMAGRO FESTIVAL

The VII International Children's Baroque Contest of the prestigious Almagro Theater Festival has awarded "Adventures of Don Quixote" from El Retablo, directed by Pablo Vergne based on the work of Miguel de Cervantes, as the best work for children and families.

The award was unanimously decided by the Festival jury, made up of Teresa Pérez-Prat, a member of the Fundación Festival de Almagro team; the girls Laura Nielfa Pérez, Paula Menchero Prieto and Claudia Muñoz Crespo, students from the different public schools in Almagro; the journalist from La Tribuna of Ciudad Real María Sierra de la Osa; and Olga Margallo, stage director. They all unanimously decided that 'Adventures of Don Quixote' was the best work because it is a show that does not differentiate the audience it is aimed at, the quality of the performance and the ability to bring the puppets to life through careful manipulation. Our thanks to this jury of women and to the festival, with the special illusion that the vote of the three girls on the jury makes us.

This production by the Madrid company El Retablo, which can be seen again as part of the Festival, this Monday the 16th and Tuesday the 17th at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Theater of Almagro, located at Calle San Agustín 20.
