Puppet Center

The Puppet Art Foundation is the founder and promoter of the Puppet Center. Isis Abellán, director of Proversus, is also patron of the El Arte del Títere Foundation and is part of the founding team and the board of directors of the Puppet Center, and Proversus also contributes production and distribution tasks to the Center's management.
 
The Puppet Center is a meeting space for creation, experimentation, discovery, wonder and curiosity, dedicated entirely to puppet art and open to anyone interested.
 
The center offers a wide range of activities related to the world of puppetry: exhibitions, shows, residences, courses and material for research.

This innovative center articulates its activity around six axes:

 
Exhibitions
Permanent exhibition of La Tartana that includes the universe of this historical company with more than 40 years of experience. In addition, the center hosts temporary exhibitions by national and international, classic and avant-garde creators, attending to the various techniques of this rich art.
School
 
Training
A regular two-year vocational training to become a puppet and object theater specialist. The center also offers intensive workshops for professionals and the general public.
Documentation Center
 
Documentation
It has a file for consultation and study of the puppet theater.
 
Laboratory
Accompanied artistic residency program with open call throughout the year.
 
Divulgation
Development of activities for the dissemination of the art of the puppet.
 
Exhibition room
The Polichinela room is a multipurpose space for the exhibition of shows.
 
The Puppet Center is located in Alcorcón (Madrid) and began its activity in December 2021. The center is managed by the Fundación el Arte del Títere, made up of professionals of recognized prestige in the universe of puppet, visual and object theater. , and has the collaboration of the Alcorcón City Council.
