Director and founder of the Company, he is a veteran in the profession. On stilts, in costume or through puppets, he has toured countless countries with his shows. He discovered his passion for puppets with Paco Peralta, one of the most famous puppet and theater show builders. For a few years he has been focused on the construction and management of works, to which, without fear of innovating, he always adds his own stamp.
In 2004 she joined the team Inés Maroto, born in the world of fine arts and with a special sensitivity to children. The new team will premiere the fantastic opera by Ravel "The boy and the spells" (2004). A daring project for being opera for the little ones but that brought them the satisfaction of success. Three years on tour, this show toured all kinds of theaters.

Awards and Honours

We are pleased to inform you that the ASSITEJ Spain 2016 National Award has gone to the company La Tartana, which has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. We congratulate its director, Juan Muñoz and all the members of the group for an award granted by the members of ASSITEJ Spain.

Last October we consulted members about whether or not it would be advisable to keep this Award in force, which is awarded annually on an honorary basis. In addition, it was requested that in case of opting for the maintenance of the prize, candidates were proposed.

From both consultations the decision has come to continue calling for it and, by majority, to award it this year to the company La Tartana, which pleases us doubly since in this way we join in the celebration of its long and fruitful career.
