The very harsh situation that we are experiencing due to the Coronavirus has caused a state of alarm in our country with strict confinement at home and the closure of all activities that include theaters and we have had to cancel our performances these months, since the season in Madrid at the Fernán Gómez Theater with the premiere of “Today could be my big night” by Teatro en Vilo, to the season in Madrid at the Teatro de La Abadía with “Quitamiedos” by Kulunka. The Teatralia tour of "Rossini in the kitchen" by La Tartana has also been cancelled, and the functions of the rest of the shows throughout Spain, as well as international tours since it is a global pandemic.
With the hope that the theaters will reopen soon and these functions will be rescheduled, we continue to work from home with the hope of recovering our activity. Our immense hug to our companies and the rest of our colleagues who are also suffering the same thing, and an appeal to our governments to support us now and in what lies ahead, which is projected to be difficult. Theater is food for the soul, unquestionably necessary, even more so in a painful moment.
