“Today can be my big night”, the new creation of Teatro en Vilo, has just premiered at the Niemeyer Center in Avilés with a resounding success and can be seen at the Fernán Gómez Theater from March 13 to April 12. This theatrical party is a comic and musical piece, an exercise in autofiction that tells the fascinating story of an orchestra singer in Galicia in the 90s and his daughter, whose highest aspiration is to be like his father. In this show, an actress and a musician on stage unfold in multiple voices to make an exciting trip to the past, to a world full of exoticism in order to understand that strange amalgamation that results from what one day we wanted to be and what we are. . This is a fun, brave and profound work, a celebration of what is no longer there, what could have been and was not, a song to losers, to those who never stop waiting for their moment. An exciting story, a heartbreaking story where Teatro En Vilo once again displays all the eloquence of its theatrical poetics, irreverence, tenderness and humor to bring us closer to the battle of a woman who fights between the extraordinary and the ordinary, the feat and defeat, duty to be and true happiness.
Teatro en Vilo has just received the Ojo Crítico de Teatro (RNE) Award, and is one of the most interesting companies of the new theatrical creation, endorsed by its previous works: Interrupted, Generacion Why, Locos de amor, Man-up, winners multiple awards, receiving wonderful reviews for his creations.
