A children's puppet show created by La Tartana Teatro, based on the ancient Japanese legend of "Mount Ubasute."A story about the importance of elders in society and their role as transmitters of knowledge and memory.A universal message that has resonated in other cultures, and which La Tartana now uses as a starting point to convey this important message through the art of theater.
SYNOPSIS: Legend tells of a tyrannical king who forced the villagers to abandon all their elderly relatives on a mountain upon reaching the age of 60. However, some grandchildren hide their grandmother so that no one will find her.Meanwhile, the neighboring kingdom declares war on the village, and the invading monarch warns that he will wage war unless the villagers can solve three riddles.Who will be able to solve the enigma and restore peace to their village?This beautiful puppet show recognizes the essential role of elders in society and the dignity they deserve.
