PINOCCHIO AND A HALF

Pablo Vergne's version of the classic tale in puppet theater focused on the world of emotions and feelings, dreams and memories, desires and frustrations. Explore the need for affection, acceptance and tenderness on the part of a small person who in this case is a poor and clumsy puppet. A need that will lead her to be involved in a series of adventures and dangers from which she will emerge gracefully thanks to her courage and the drive of her desire. At the end of his journey, Pinocchio will understand that it is not necessary to transform into a real boy to win Geppetto's affections. Because the great truth is that his father or his builder really wants him, just as he is, with his clumsiness and concerns, with his desires and desires, with his illusions and his dreams.
SYNOPSIS: Everything happens in a toy store where two actors dramatize some of Pinocchio's adventures with dolls, toys and various objects. Pinocchio is a restless, clumsy and rowdy puppet. One day he breaks a music box that has a very special value for Geppetto, his melody is full of evocations and memories. Geppetto gets angry with the puppet and severely reprimands it. Pinocchio thinks that Geppetto no longer loves him. He decides to go to the Blue Fairy's house so that she turns him into a real boy and win back Geppetto's affections. On the trip to the Blue Fairy's house, various adventures will occur to him that will test his courage and his determination. He will have to face the Devil in a puppet theater, a giant rag bear will choose him as a sleeping bear, he will work in the circus with the Clown, the Fox and the Cat will leave him hanging from a tree and he will be rescued by the Coachman Rat. At the end of so many adventures, adventures and misfortunes, Pinocchio will understand that Geppetto loves him as he is: a restless, clumsy and sometimes troublesome puppet.

About 'Pablo Vergne'

Pablo Vergne Pablo Vergne creates shows that stand out for the simplicity and clarity with which they manage to approach child psychology, capturing with humor and delicacy the way in which children see and feel the world around them. Another of the particularities of his productions is the use of recycled objects and materials that are transformed into unforgettable characters. For this creator, an object can contain a hidden story, you have to know how to listen and feel so that this story emerges with all its poetry. In all of his works the imprint of his personal stamp remains, where what matters is not what is spectacular but to move children and adults with simple and artisan means where a studied and careful dramaturgy is highlighted. In short, both in his creation and in his staging, each Pablo Vergne show is a journey, a journey that speaks to us of learning, dreams, memories, life and hope. A magical journey where the public is moved, laughs, enjoys, learns and is moved by dreaming with their eyes open.
