We are happy to announce the premiere of “Forever”, the new mask show by Kulunka theater in co-production with the CDN NATIONAL DRAMATIC CENTER, Arriaga Theater in Bilbao and the Victoria Eugenia Theater in Donosti. We premiered on January 28, 2023 at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, it will continue on February 4 in Vitoria and on February 10 and 11 at the Victoria Eugenia Theater in Donosti, and the subsequent tour. It will arrive at the María Guerrero Theater in Madrid - National Dramatic Center (CDN), at the end of 2023, doing season in the big room in November and December 2023.
After “André and Dorine” and “Solitudes”, the Kulunka Teatro company returns to betting on the silent language of the masks in a show that combines tenderness and crudeness.
“Forever” tells the story of a family that is moving away from what they dreamed it would be. Reflecting with grace and irony some paradoxes about love and family life, it focuses on issues such as motherhood and fatherhood, education, disability, overprotection, sexuality, conflict and frustration. On a rotating platform, Forever is a merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel of life. But also a spiral that, as it turns, delves into the drama of its protagonists. With a luminous spirit in which humor is not lacking, this beautiful and profound work highlights the fears and conflict that arises from the distance between our desires, our projections for the future and reality itself.
