THE PUPPET CENTER IS PRESENTED AT FETEN AND MADFERIA

It is a pleasure for us to present the Puppet Center after so many years of work, and we do it starting with our colleagues, the performing arts professionals of our country.

 

On Wednesday, May 12 at 4:00 p.m., we present the project of the Puppet Center at the School of Commerce within the FETEN 2021 program, the European performing arts fair for boys and girls that is held every year in Gijón.

 
And on June 16 at 12 noon we also present it at MADFERIA 2021, at the Cineteca del Matadero in Madrid.
 
Isis Abellán and Juan Muñoz, from the Fundación el Arte del Títere, will be in charge of presenting this center dedicated entirely to puppet art.

This innovative center articulates its activity around six axes:
 
Exhibitions
Permanent exhibition of La Tartana that includes the universe of this historical company with more than 40 years of experience. In addition, the center hosts temporary exhibitions by national and international, classic and avant-garde creators, attending to the various techniques of this rich art.
School
 
Training
A regular two-year vocational training to become a puppet and object theater specialist. The center also offers intensive workshops for professionals and the general public.
Documentation Center
 
Documentation
It has a file for consultation and study of the puppet theater.
 
Laboratory
Accompanied artistic residency program with open call throughout the year.
 
Divulgation
Development of activities for the dissemination of the art of the puppet.
 
Exhibition room
The Polichinela room is a multipurpose space for the exhibition of shows.
 
The Puppet Center is located in Alcorcón (Madrid) and will begin its activity in December 2021. The center is managed by the Fundación el Arte del Títere, made up of professionals of recognized prestige in the universe of puppet, visual and object theater. , and has the collaboration of the Alcorcón City Council.
